YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK
Our Young Professionals Network Lead Forward After Hours is designed for emerging leaders ages 21–35 who want to build meaningful connections, grow their careers, and engage with the community. This relaxed gathering brings together young professionals from a wide range of industries—including business, trades, and those just starting their career journey—to share ideas, expand their networks, and support one another. Looking ahead, the network will also offer educational opportunities focused on the real challenges young professionals face in the workforce, creating space to learn, grow, and navigate career development together. It’s a welcoming place to connect, be inspired, and become part of the next generation shaping our community.
With the South Sound Futures Foundations goal of helping to fill the gap in our workforce and help our young residents find sustainable living wage jobs. It is with great excitement that the South Sound Futures Foundation introduces Puyallup Works!
PuyallupWorks is a pilot Career and Technical Education (CTE) summer program that provides students with paid summer work experience that develops leadership skills while benefiting the community. In partnership with the Puyallup School District and the City of Puyallup, students can earn up to a $1,000 stipend and a high school credit for 80 hours of community service or internship and attend weekly career based trainings once a week.
